Llandeilo, the Tywi, the Garden of Wales and the Brecon Beacons – all on our doorstep!

Colourful Llandeilo boasts some of the finest boutique shops in Wales. And with the enviable reputation of the Tywi valley's restaurants and delicatessens, locally produced foods such as Carmarthen Ham, and local cheese and beers, it’s a foodie’s dream destination. The Tywi valley, on the fringes of the Brecon Beacons, offers endless opportunities for outdoor pursuits – fishing, cycling and walking, and even hot-air ballooning.

You'll also see why Carmarthenshire is known as the Garden of Wales – the National Trust Dinefwr Park and Castle are just a 10 minute walk, with the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Aberglasney Gardens and Carreg Cennen Castle a short drive or cycle-ride away. For further information about the town, including footage of many of its attractions, visit the site for S4C's 'Y Dref Gymreig'.

"Llandeilo has just about everything... a branch of fashion store Toast, there's a local chocolatier, and cosy pubs proliferate. It even boasts a swish new organic B&B, Fronlas. If you can drag yourself out into the surrounding countryside you'll find nature reserves, ruined castles, river valleys, deer parks and the National Botanic Garden of Wales "
