Local Food and Drink

Carmarthenshire is a food destination in its own right. Carmarthen Ham, fine cheeses – Cothi Valley Goat's cheese, organic Perl Las and Perl Wen by Caws Cenarth, Llanboidy and Nantybwla – and fresh fish including sewin and brown trout from the crystal clear waters of the Tywi as well as cockles from the sands of the estuaries. Llandeilo has its own chocolatier and ice-cream maker, Heavenly, two delis and three independent butchers, including award-winning Dewi Roberts. Unique Welsh gifts for foodies, including the hand-made 'Coffi' mugs used in Fronlas, are available online from Bodlon.

We make every effort to source only the best and freshest ingredients and from mid and west Wales where possible. All the ingredients in our breakfast are organic, mostly supplied by The Organic Pantry and a number of the drinks in the honesty bar are locally produced – including Tywi valley beers from Ffos-y-Ffin Brewery and Penderyn Single Malt Whisky, Brecon Gin and Vodka produced in the Brecon Beacons.

"For sheer escapism, you can't beat this lovingly restored Edwardian townhouse in the Tywi Valley with views of the Brecon Beacons... organic breakfasts made from the freshest Welsh produce."
