We live in a stunning part of Wales, and it is extremely important to us that we minimise the environmental impact of tourism. In addition to using organic and local foods, we also took major steps during the development of Fronlas to minimise the carbon output, for now and the future.
Fronlas uses 100% green electricity from Good Energy and solar panels to contribute towards the heating of the hot water and the under-floor heating; we use locally produced organic mattresses, organic bedding and organic towels; ‘A’ rated appliances are used throughout; and all papers, plastics, metals and glass are recycled, and food items composted.
To encourage use of public transpot to travel to Fronlas we offer guests who travel to Llandeilo by train a free box of locally produced chocolates from Heavenly, Llandeilo. If you're travelling from London for the weekend, take the 2.45pm Intercity from Paddington direct to Swansea, where you change for the Heart of Wales Line – you'll be here before 7.30pm, in plenty of time to quickly refresh and go out for the evening. Or leave London at 9.45am, to be here in time for a late lunch at the deli. The train journey from Cardiff is around 2 hours, and around 3 hours from Bristol.
